PRINTING

We offer screen printing, printed vinyl transfers and CAD cut vinyl transfers to decorate your garments. Each has it's own advantages and disadvantages and can be use in combination with, or as an alternative to, embroidery.

SCREEN PRINTING

Our screen printing is applied off site at one of our partners. We source the garment and setup your artwork, then send your garments to our trusted printer. There's just not enough room in our workshop to do it all.  Screen priinting is often preferred for large designs and high quantities. Screen printing prices are dependent on quantity and number of colours so a one colour print on 100 plus garments can be very cost effecive.

PRINTED VINYL

We can have your design or photo printed onto very light weight printable vinyl. If you are printing onto white we can print onto a clear vinyl which is extremely light and has a mat finish. Printed vinyl can look and feel similar to screen printing but you can print as many colours as you like as the printing is similar to printing a picture on a piece of paper. The only thing that may be a problem is that shapes cannot be cut exactly to the print so the print will have an outline like a sticker.

CAD CUT VINYL HEAT TRANSFERS

This is when we cut shapes out of a roll of vinyl using a computerised cutter and then heat apply them to the fabric. We use Stahls or Velfel vinyls that stand up well to wash and wear. The colour does not fade readily as it is not printed on with ink but the full thickness of the vinyl is one colour. Only single colour prints can be applied this way and after application they cannot be washed in water 60 degrees celcius or hotter as it may come away from the fabric. We recommend a maximum of 40 degrees. If we print your shirts this way and the vinyl starts to lift do not peel it off! Please bring the article back immediately and we will be happy to reapply. One limitation with vinyl is that the colours are what the manufacturer decides and the colours cannot be adjusted to suit a particular requirement.

CAD CUT VINYL WINDOW STICKERS

Obvious not a fabric printing option!
We can offer computer cut window vinyl for any application onto a non-porous surface. Our vinyl is 5 year rated to look great for 5 years in outdoor applications. Great to advertise your business on your car window or your home. Even fun applications can be accomodated, check out the picture below of the rubbish and recycling bins! Email with your requirements for a quote.

Which printing solution for me?

CAD cut vinyl is good for small quantities (less than 30) with a single colour application and text no smaller than 8mm.

Printed vinyl is great for printing detailed logos and photos onto shirts.

Screen printing is great for large designs and/or large quantities with 1-4 colours.
